About The Village South
The Village South is a 501(c)(3) private, not-for-profit charitable organization approved as a Medicaid provider and fully licensed by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families (DCF), for the provision of prevention, intervention and education services, and residential and outpatient substance abuse and behavioral health treatment. Founded in 1973, The Village is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
The Village provides a wide spectrum of health and human services in residential, outpatient, home-based, and community-based environments. Dedicated to working in partnership with the communities and agencies we serve, our philosophy is to empower everyone who comes into contact with us to engage in a process of healing, growth, and change that will benefit them, their families, their coworkers, and their communities. Over the past 34 years, The Village has developed and expanded its substance abuse services to include populations of at risk children and adolescents; dually diagnosed adolescents; young children of adults in treatment; pregnant and postpartum women; HIV/AIDS-infected individuals; and men, women, adolescents and children involved in the criminal justice system. Outpatient and outreach services are provided to more than 10,000 individuals annually.
